As Ryerson’s executive vice president of operations, John Orth is responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate and field operations and continuously improving our safety, quality, productivity, and the customer experience.
John brings extensive experience in operations and manufacturing to this role, most recently serving as global managing director of Morgan Advanced Materials’ advanced ceramics and metals business. Previously, he also held leadership roles at NX Infrastructure, Foundry Solutions & Design, and Trinity Industries.
John has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University. He also has a master’s degree and doctorate in materials science and engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
